Last Leaf Standing
Only one stubborn leaf remains atop this sycamore tree. This steadfast soldier outlasted some pretty gusty winds that blew through our Chickadee Trail on the 29th! Talk about survival of the fittest! It looks like we have our own little Alfie right here at Hillside.
Halloween at Hillside
This morning, Hillside staff and our pals at Friends of the Rouge Watershed enjoyed a thrilling game of human dominoes! Wishing everyone a safe and happy Halloween!
Rouge River Grows with the Rain
Each morning our intern Emma takes a photo of the Rouge River to document the changing river and seasons. The photo is taken from the same location and time each day. We decided to take a few extra pictures over the course of yesterday’s rainstorm to see how much the river grew over the span of 48 hours. We were very surprised to see how much the river had grown in both size and power. Enjoy the photos!
